I have been using pc's for several years and have learned many things either through trial and error, reading the instructions, or screwing up so badly that it required tech support to intervene. I have purchased software to improve my pc experiences and have been pleasantly suprised to disappointed after installing and using the new software: Sometimes the software doesn't do what it says and sometimes my level of knowledge limits my ability to see that it does what it says.
I appreciate the value of a strong knowledge base, which "What the Tech" has made available here. Thank you. I hope to learrn a lot and fix a few pc problems.

While there are many excellent (paid) software utilities available, there are also sufficient (free) software utilities available for most purposes.

You will find that most of our break-fix assistance here at WTT is possible using windows native tools.

Enjoy reading around the Forums.
There is always much to learn.

Best Regards

wavey.gif mrmroscoe and welome to WTT.

As you say, there's a great deal to be learnt and no better place to learn it. The malware experts here are second to none and give quality advice in the malware forum. .

There are other great forums here: Software, Hardware and and Dicussion where you can trade ideas. Do have a good look around and enjoy your reading and learning.

Kind regards

Satchfan
