The use of registry cleaners is no longer recommended due to the potential damage they may cause.

As I've already said elsewhere - if Registry cleaners were really so necessary, why didn't Microsoft add a Registry Cleaning option by default? The same as MS did with the Cleanup Manager (cleanmgr).

Microsoft did offer one a while back: RegClean
