When i push empty recycle bin, it replies, are you sure you want to delete the selected 75 items. I clicked yes, i push the empty again, it repeats the 75 items. The problem is that nothing i delete goes into the recycle bin and i can never find the item again. No items show up in the recycle bin when i open it, but it still believes that there are still 75 items in it. Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

Operating System: Windows xp SP2



go to start-> run

then type in cd c:\recycler
hit enter
then type in:
directories and files with attrib -r -h -s /S /D *.*.

Then go to the recycle bin. You should the files. Try moving the files out of the recycle bin and deleting them again

Thank you for your reply, but i dont understand what it is your trying to say:

go to start-> run <--completed

then type in cd c:\recycler <-- i thought you meant c:\recycler so that's what i put in

hit enter <--complete which opened the recycle bin

then type in:
directories and files with attrib -r -h -s /S /D *.*. <---this is the part i dont understand... please explain further

hehe i left out a step....

SORRY!!!!

go to start -> run
type in cmd
hit enter
then type in:
cd c:\recycler
hit enter
then type in:
attrib -r -h -s /S /D *.*


Now you should be able to see all of the files in your recycling bin. Try taking them out of the recycling bin and redeleting them
