Hi Al_53

Welcome to the What the tech Forums
My name is mschroe919
I would like to help you So if you would....
Please be patient and I will be back as soon as possible.
lets address the HJT problem first.

what operating system are you running?
If you have XP continue with this, if not wait till I see what system you have and I post you a fix for it.

For XP

FIRST

Please while I am gone do these steps:

Show hidden files, Here is how:

Windows XP

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

NEXT:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

Download it

HERE:

This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

NEXT:

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

HERE

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
post a new scanner[HJT] log and the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware log

Be sure not to delete anything intill said ok to. also don't run any other cleanup programs till we
get done it may goof ours up.
Also if you have any questions feel fre to ask first.

NEXT:

Did you download from

HERE:

Try it and if still don't work try it in safe mode

Here is how

Windows XP

* Click Start.
* Select Shutdown.
* Select Restart and click OK.
* During restart, hold down the F8 key on your keyboard until the Windows Startup menu appears.
* If your PC starts beeping then release the key for a few seconds before holding it down again.
* Select Safe Mode from the Startup menu, and press the Enter button on your keyboard.
* Windows should start in Safe Mode. If Windows doesn't restart in Safe Mode then please try again.

NEXT:

Hi Al_53,

Lets double check a few things then I will give you some thing to try and speed up your pc.

FIRST:

Download trial version of F secure program to check for hidden virus files:

Get it

HERE F secure

Download to desk top
Then click on fsbl.exe

next agree to terms
next click run
next click on scan
next when done it will put a log on desktop with a long number

Hi Al_53

FIRST:
Backup Your Registry with ERUNT
Please use the following link and scroll down to ERUNT and download it.

HERE:

After installed
Click Erunt.exe to backup your registry.

Note: to restore your registry, go to the folder and start ERDNT.exe

Finally a reg cleaner that works without paying to clean
after backing up do this next:

I recommend you download RegSeeker.Get it here:

HERE:

Extract it to it's own folder, open and double click RegSeeker.exe to start the program. Maximize the window and click clean registry. Check all sections and click OK. When the scan is complete, verify the backup box in lower left corner is checked and click the select all button, then select all again. Then right click within the search results and select delete. Run it again and again, deleting everything it finds until it finds nothing. Reboot and make sure your programs are working properly, control panel and add/remove programs windows open, etc (basically just do a quick check of everything). In the event anything was 'broken', you can open RegSeeker, click backups and double click any/all files to put the information back. A reboot may be required for the effects to be seen.

Reboot When done.
Talk about speeding up the PC?
This will definitly do something to speed up your pc
After running this just post back as to how its running now, then I will have a few good things to do to help keep it running good.
good luck mschroe919

That was put there by microsoft when Net frame work was instaled.
I would leave alone not harming anything

One more thing before we get to the good stuff
Lets make IE open quicker too:

When Ie is open
Go to Tools, Manage Add-Ons and disable everything, then restart IE and see if it's acting better.

Let me know how you like that one

You can leave them alone allthough it wouldn't effect your security, cause you aren't deleteing the
security items they are still in place. But leave them there .
let me know how your pc is behaving now

Hi Al_53

FIRST a couple questions
Did you install these programs :

C:\Program Files\AutoInstall\ZD1211

C:\Program Files\AutoInstall\ZD1211_Auto_Install_CD_Only_Gen_0ACE2031\AutoEJCD.EXE /VID=0ACE /PID=2031

and
DAEMON Tools Pro Agent

NEXT:
Make sure Internet Explorer isn't open

Run hijackthis again. Hit None of the above,
Click Do a System Scan Only.
Put a Check in the box on the left side on these: (Not to worry if not there)
NOTICE:
The following we are going to stop them from starting were not deleteing them

I had to re-enable all the "manage addons" just to get back to this forum and to another flash website i visit (AVG saying DNS error not found bla bla, until i enabled them again)

also after using hijack this and attempting to get back here i found the same problem of AVG blocking my path, but allowed me to the flash website.
CTFMON.exe popped up after the reboot asking to be allowed to work again, and since i couldnt access this website, i said yes, and now i can access it :|

and daemon pro tools - yes i installed ages ago
ZD1211 whatever i dont have a clue what it is

my PC being really slow on the net atm, but i think it may just be the connection (slow loading up the edit buttons etc)
