So I built my new gaming PC 2 months ago and now it won't go through POST. I have tried clearing CMOS as well as removing all non essential components such as Mobo, CPU, 1 stick of ram and video card. Also removed all extra standoffs. No idea what to do now. Help?

That is an extremely vague description, we need more specific info to try and aid narrowing this down, system spec would be useful, especially the PSU make\model, it's possible this could be a power issue, and knowing this info will help to show any known issues.
Next we need to know what exactly happens, and when, no post is not enough, not on it's own, we need to know what does\doesn't work, eg do fans, drives etc spin up ? especially the CPU fan, do you get ANY display ? like the DOS screen at loading, can you access the bios at all ? are there any beeps ? if the board has an LCD display is there any error code ? Have you added\removed anything prior to this ? hardware or software ? Once we have all this info we can try and help figure this out, also if you have access to another system or spare parts to swap about for testing purposes that would be useful to know as well, the more you can tell us the more we can try and help, hope this gets you started anyway. |

Sorry for being vague. I have
PSU : CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX TX 650W Power Supply Retail Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R Intel X58 Core i7 Extreme/Core i7 Socket 1366 PC3-16000 (DDR3-2000) ATX Motherboard Retail CPU: INTEL BX80601920 Core i7-920 2.66GHz Intel QPI 4.80 GT/s Socket 1366 Desktop Processor Retail As for the issue itself, when I turn on my computer the CPU and GPU fans as well as the case fan runs but I get no beeps whatsoever and my no display on my monitor. I know my monitor works because I tested with my laptop. Even when I removed every stick of RAM I dont get the beeps indicating no there is no RAM connected. I have no changed anything lately. |

Right that tells me you have a good PSU which should be fine, everything spinning up confirms power is getting through, but of course this does not guarantee the PSU is good, easiest way to prove it is to use a PSU tester, but in this case I doubt the PSU is at fault.
The fact you get no beeps with the ram removed is a pain, one hopes it's as simple as the board has no speaker, although I thought they all did these days, without these it makes it hard to know what the system is up to, unfortunately from what I can see the board does not appear to have an LCD poster display ? these are used in Lou of speakers on some boards like my board does. So without being able to provoke beeps we are fighting a losing battle, the only ways round this are to get a speaker for the board, I have one I keep for such emergency's, took it from a dead system, it's a simple plug with the speaker on 2 wires, if you can't find such a thing then we need another system to swap parts about with to be able to prove whats good and bad, this also brings problems that you need a similar spec system when it comes to the ram, you can't put DDR3 ram in a DDR2 board, not unless it's one of the rare crossover boards that offers an either\or option. But currently the video card is my suspect given your getting no display at all, so before we get too involved ion the other parts lets get that checked, you should be able to swap it into another system that works to see it it behaves or not, equally put a known working card into the problem system, if this gives a result you have your issue, as sure as we can be in this situation anyway, so see what this does for you and we can go from there. You say you changed nothing recently, but did you clean out the dust bunnies perhaps ? Just wondering about cable(s) becoming loose, so when swapping cards about as well as making sure they are seated properly, make sure the cables are secure, including the monitor cable, nothing worse than chasing ghosts when it';s a simple answer lol, also whats your electric like where you are ? I'm wondering if your prone to surges, and as such have you got any surge protector or anything to protect the system ? it's mad not to these days TBH, hope this helps a bit anyway. |

Could it really be the GPU? I've tried taking out the GPU and even then it wouldn't go through POST. I believe my MOBO has onboard speakers since I've heard it beep when I put my PC together.

Well it could be numerous things with the info so far, but yes it is possible, but if you have a similar card\system it becomes one of the easiest things to check, so it can't hurt to try if your able.
