Can anyone help me as I am having trouble with my new iphone. Im using itunes on a pc and I know that causes itunes to slow down however the problems seems to come from the applications and ringtones that are being transferred from itunes to the iphone. For example, I was downloading some apps on my phone when my partner advised to connect it to the pc as it would download faster, which I did. Now some of the apps that were working before I connected it to the pc don't work anymore and when I connect my iphone to the pc to remove those apps they won't delete off my phone. The apps with the most trouble are the flashlight, the 9-toolbox and facebook. Also when we purchased and downloaded some ringtones, they error out when you try to set them on the phone and I cannot set any other song to be my ringtone, only those purchased seem to be allowed but do not work, which is a rip as well. I have had my iphone for less than 48 hrs and so far, apart from the interesting features, the problems far out weigh the novelty and quite frankly it in peices and a hole in the wall where it was thrown is really starting to appeal to me... So please please please can someone help.

Hello 8210guy.

I'm very happy to see you come by to offer assistance.
Thanks for answering my request for help.

While (jailbreaking) is an important question to "ask" about a mobile device. Please note that our Terms Of Use (TOU) are very much like the Rules of most other Help Sites, in that we "do not" assist in circumventing legitimate software, EULAs and copyright.
You haven't done anything of the sort, but I want to mention it, so that nobody else takes this discussion to infer that we are advocating such.
I'm sure you understand what I'm concerned about. thumbup.gif

Anyway thanks again.
I look forward to seeing you around the Forums here as you are available.
Doug

Jailbreaking iPhones also allows for the free installation of official Applications via .torrent, including paid apps, when a few files have been modified.

Jailbreaking is distinct from unlocking, which is the process by which a mobile device is made compatible with telephone networks it was not specifically licensed to be used with.
