Is there a diagnostic tool that will check my pc configurations, compatability, settings, Since installing
a new 800GB HD?

The whole system is doing all of the following:
Flashing black screen for 2-5 sec,
automatically random reboots,
shuts down all browser [IE6] windows randomly,
freeze/frozen at random times.

My HD is SATA, 800GB not partitioned.
I'm not even sure the cmos or bios are correct. My OS is WinXP Home.

Operating System: Win 98se, Windows 2000, xp Home sp3, xp Pro sp3, Vista Ultimate 32bit\64bit.
Have you been able to check the PSU yet ? I ask as a failing PSU can throw some pretty weird stuff at you, and with the blown capacitors on the other board it would be a good move to check this if you possibly can.
The slowness in the connection may possibly be down to whatever you did to get it working, I am hesitant to suggest uninstalling the LAN given the fun you've just had with it, but my hope is that by uninstalling it, then rebooting and let the system auto install it that it will line everything up correctly again, do you fancy giving that a go ?
