I’m having problems with my computer thinking it's on a Network, which it isn’t. There also seems to be some Driver issues relating to this problem. I originally sought help from the Malware Forums where the original topic can be found here, which gives a bit of background information to my problem. Here is a Screenshot of the drivers in question which have the the follow error code. CODE This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) I went through the normal procedures of trying to update the drivers but to no avail. Basically I'm not even sure why they're on there as my computer is not on a Network. I would also like to refer to my topic here where I was having Driver problems. If anyone could help please. |

Are you connected to the internet?
If so, then YES you are on a network. A really, really big one! Have you tried deleting the two items in question? Just delete them and see if they come back after a reboot. Otherwise, if there are no other ill effects there isn't much reason to worry about it. You can right-click and disable them if it makes you feel any better. |

Hi appleoddity
Are you connected to the internet? If so, then YES you are on a network. A really, really big one! I am & is it a network called the World Wide Web by any chance Seriously, from what I understood from TomK's explanation I assumed (probably wrongly) that there where other computers in my area leeching on to my Internet connection or that my computer was set up like an office network. Have you tried deleting the two items in question? Just delete them and see if they come back after a reboot. Otherwise, if there are no other ill effects there isn't much reason to worry about it. You can right-click and disable them if it makes you feel any better. Yes I uninstalled them but they come back on reboot I will take your advice & not worry about it, thank you. EDIT: Could I ask you about another Driver related issue or should I start a new thread? This post has been edited by manicd: Oct 16 2009, 05:15 PM |

Hi Appleoddity
I have now resolved the issue. Basically the Dolby Home Theater feature wasn't working on my laptop. So I un-installed and re-installed the Realtek application and everything seems to in order now. Thanks for your help. All the best, ManicD |
