Hello...

I'm not sure if i am in the right place here to post, i have a HP Pavilion Entertainment dv9000 laptop its 2 years old, recently the internal microphone stopped working, i was wondering if anyone could help me with this?

Operating System: Win 98se, Windows 2000, xp Home sp3, xp Pro sp3, Vista Ultimate 32bit\64bit.



Are you sure it hasn't become muted or turned right down ?
Often the Mic is muted by default, so check that out in the sound properties etc, also check in the device manager and look for any conflicts, if all else fails find the Mic in the list, right click on it and select uninstall, reboot then allow it to auto install it again, hopefully something here will help, if it doesn't then it may be a case of hardware failure, but heres hoping it's a simple thing.
