Keep your Sun Java up to date!

Older versions of Sun Java are vulnerable to numerous exploits which can be used to infect your computer.

For JRE6 (Java™ SE Runtime Environment 6)
Current version is JRE 6 Update 14

You must delete all old versions from add/remove programs before installing the new version. (See Below)

See What Version of Java Are You Using?

Download Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u14

A great way to remove the older versions of Java is by using JavaRa.

Download JavaRa and unzip it to your desktop.
  • ***Please close any instances of Internet Explorer before continuing!***
  • Double-click on JavaRa.exe to start the program.
  • Click on Remove Older Versions to remove the older versions of Java installed on your computer.
  • Click Yes when prompted. When JavaRa is done, a notice will appear that a logfile has been produced. Click OK.
  • A logfile will pop up. Please save it to a convenient location.
  • Reboot before installing the new version.

Good Luck, MrC
