Last December my IBM laptop (R52) crashed due to a Windows update issue. About two months ago, my brother took the hard drive from his broken computer, which "died" after a power surge, and replaced it with the one that was originally in this computer. He got the computer working, but it's missing several drivers that make the computer not work to it's full ability. I'm currently missing SynTPLpr.exe, Ethernet Controller, Video Controller, HXFSetup.exe, Multimedia Audio Controller, and Video Controller.
Is there anyway to download these drivers off the internet?

Hi Lauren.. Welcome to WhatTheTech.

All the drivers for your laptop can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

If I'm interpreting your post right you simply swapped hard drives. You simply can't do that reliably. The hardware changes are too significant and usually the drive will not even boot. You got lucky.

At this point a full reinstall of the operating system is necessary to get the laptop back to proper working order. This will require the recovery discs or original windows installation disc that came with the computer.
