This is fairly simple and most know it but for those of you who don't here is the easiest way to convert images.

Requirements:
Microsoft Paint
Image that you wish to convert

1. Open up the image you wish to convert with Microsoft Paint.

*If double clicking the image doesn't automatically open it in paint then...
Right click the file, put the mouse over Open With and wait for the box to pop out, then choose Paint, if it's not there click Choose Program and a longer list of programs will come out, Microsoft Pain will be in there if you have it).

2. Click File > Save As

3. In the "Save as type:" drop down menu, choose the type you wish to convert it too.

4. Click save and it will save the picture as the designated image type, thus converting it for you.

Simple, easy, and useful if you don't want to have to mess with image converter tools.

This also works for making pictures black and white, simply save the image as a Monochrome BMP.
