Hi,

I'm encountering an ISScript error relating to the Installscript engine being missing.
As far as I can make out I need to reload 2005 to correct the error - major problem obviously is that there in now no support for this version, so cannot download it.
This error message occurs every time I boot up, plus every time I log onto a Windows application.
All rather frustrating now.

Any kind person out there with a viable suggestion?

Thank you in advance.

Perhaps an upgrade?

If that is not viable what is the verbatim error?

The error message reads as below:-

"The install script engine is missing from this machine. If available, please run ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for further assistance."

I've download both 2006 and 2009 on separate occasions - both times the install (of the updated version) aborted because of the above error.

Thanks for your reply,

See if installing the latest Windows Installer 4.5 will help.

Hi Jephree,

The CleanUp Utility worked a treat - thank you so much for your time. This error message was proving very troublesome - hopefully I won't see it again.

Thanks again,

Cathal.
