I have a friends computer here that has me stumped. Their Norton subscription ran out and they tried to uninstall Norton so they could run something else. I'm really not sure what they tried, but it seems Norton didn't uninstall properly. Whatever is going on has the internet totally blocked, like no pings, no network. NIC (Network Interface Card) has been replaced and checked. Nothing seems to be going into the card, thus nothing out. Another hint could be that the Firewall won't turn on with a warning that some of the associated files are missing.
