The Different Groups at What the Tech:

Admin Team:

1. Root Admin (Note red but not bolded): They handle all the aspects of day-to-day site operations, and moderate all the forums. In consultation with other members of the WTT Team family, Root Admins are responsible for the formulation of site policy and have the heavy responsibility of enforcing said policy when required.

2. Classroom Admin: In addition to assuming some of the same duties as those carried out by the Root Admins, the Classroom Admins' major responsibilities lie in coordinating all aspects of Classroom activity from developing the curriculum in collaboration with the Teaching Team to overseeing the performance of all the members of the Classroom.

3. Tech Admins. Like the Classroom Admins, they assist the Root Admins in carrying out certain delegated general site responsibilities with the major part of their duties being in the realm of coordinating all aspects in the non Malware or Classroom forums, providing guidance to other WTT Tech Team members and ensuring quality control of all technical responses provided. In addition, they are responsible for all activities relating to the WTT Tech Classroom.

Global Moderator Team: Have the responsibility of moderating all of the forums. They can edit, delete, close, pin, and move posts as well as topics and are also invested with the authority to ensure that all site rules are strictly adhered to.

Classroom Teacher Team: These individuals have excellent knowledge of spyware, adware and malware and will give you advice you can rely on. They primarily work in the classroom, though they do help in the main Malware forum quite frequently. Classroom Teachers also carry out the responsibilities of Global Moderators.

Malware Expert: know a great deal about all aspects of spyware, adware, malware and PC’s in general. They will give you clear, accurate information and will know about the latest developments that concern the user.

Malware Team: They have reached a level where they can give you accurate advice when working with HJT logs and malware. They are well trained and advise using their experience to solve your PC problem.

Tech Team: Tech Team Members have demonstrated a reliable ability to independently deliver safe and accurate assistance to Members presenting problems in Software and Hardware Topics and to moderate the respectful and educational tone of assistance provided in these Forums. With topics ranging from hardware repair, upgrades and new builds, operating systems, application software, networking, media management, internet, website building, development and consumer electronics, it is impossible for any one Tech to have all of the answers. But with collaboration amongst the Forum Teams, good resources and solutions are generally delivered. Neither Tech Team, nor Tech Classroom Members offer instructions for malware removal.

Advisors Group: They have anti-spyware skills equivalent to an Expert and have shown a willingness to help in the classroom and also respond to logs. Their advice can be relied on as accurate, They are well trained and some have been Classroom Teachers before having to step down due to time constraints.

Senior Class: These members of the classroom are able to help our users through something we call "Check My Fix Please Before I Post". Each person who is responding to users will be doing so after posting to the above area of the Classroom, where all of their work is reviewed by an expert member of the forum. The members of this group are still fully supervised, to ensure they can be relied upon to give correct advice.

Junior Class: These members of the classroom have passed all of the Freshman Class Practice Logs and have been promoted to Junior Class. They have their own set of Practice Logs to do as well, and are shown more advanced tools to use and are taught more advanced material.

Freshman Class: The classroom offers an in-depth knowledge of Spyware, Malware and Adware, complete with methods and tools for fighting this successfully. These members bring with them a desire to help others and a thirst for the knowledge that will allow them to do so. At WhattheTech, this level of membership provides a completely protected atmosphere in which to learn the basics. These individuals post only within the classroom, receiving full supervision of their work, until their skill level has been assessed.

MRU Teachers: These individuals have excellent knowledge of spyware, adware and malware. Their primary function at WhattheTech is to supervise the MRU Students, while the students are helping you.

MRU Students: These individuals are in training at Malware Removal University and their work is supervised, by the MRU Teachers. Their level of antispyware education is similar to that of our Senior Class. In a co-operative effort, MRU and WhattheTech Classroom are training the next generation of malware fighters. MRU Freshman may apply for that access after they have finished an 02 Practice Log at MRU as part of the cooperative training effort between both MRU and WTT. MRU's Undergrads can post to live topics assisting victims to get clean, however their fixes are checked before being posted. "In training at Malware Removal University" is in their signature.

Tech Classroom: These Members have demonstrated ability to deliver consistently accurate and safe replies to Software and Hardware topic problems, while adding a tone of respectful and friendly interaction in the topics where they help. They have been invited by Tech Team to participate in additional training and supervision to compliment their already existing knowledge base and skill sets. Some may be invited to advance further.

Authentic Members: The General Membership, having “authenticated” by their continued participation, is the very heart and purpose of our Forum’s existence. This Membership brings questions, challenges and comments to the Forums for assistance and learning. Some of our Authentic Members have special skills and knowledge which they contribute back as help replies in the Software and Hardware Forums. They also observe the restriction that only Malware Team replies to malware removal issues.
