I'm not sure I'm in the right forum because I'm not sure what's causing this problem:

I keep getting Context Menu pop ups all the time as if I'm right clicking on a folder/file. This happens even if I'm on my desktop and I don't touch my mouse (actually I use a trackball). It happens also when I'm on websites (random). I suspect a Windows Explorer problem but I'm not sure how to try to do a repair.

My environment: Win XP Pro, SP3; Firefox 3.5.4; IE7; Bit Defender 13.0.16.313; Spy Sweeper 6.1.0.128.

Would sure appreciate some help - these constant popups are driving me up a wall. Thank you.

HI lvsunz37, welcome to WhatTheTech forums.

There isn't much chance this is a software issue. Its almost certainly a bad mouse/trackball.

Please unplug the trackball, hook up a different mouse or trackball and if you continue to have problems, let us know.

Well appleoddity it looks like you hit the nail on the proverbial head. I've been using a Logitech mouse for the last day or so and no inappropriate popups! I'll use this mouse for a couple of more days and if no problems I'll probably try another Trackball I have just to see results. Thanks so much for your help.
