HI. I'm new and found this site while googling for some help with my computer.

My computer has XP SP2, Pentium 4 with 3.20 GHz with 1 G Ram. I use it for working with photos and making slideshow videos. It ran well initially, but it was hijacked by the netsky worm(?) and I did some cleaning with a program called roguefix, and installed new McAfee virus software. It still runs very slow, and every time I shut down it has to end a program called Smax4P or something like that. It then informs me there are updates to install and then it will close down. It does this repeatedly, but when I check manually for updates it always tell me the system is up to date.

I installed some new software this afternoon and it took me hours to install everything, the system runs so slow. And it takes quite a while to boot it up to where I can run an application. I've posted the HJT file below.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
