Hi there and welcome lets try and kill this

QUOTE
One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor Trojan and a key logger.

If this computer is ever used for on-line banking, I suggest you do the following immediately:

1. Call all of your banks, credit card companies, financial institutions and inform them that you may be a victim of identity theft and to put a watch on your accounts or change all your account numbers.

2. From a clean computer, change ALL your on-line passwords for email, for banks, financial accounts, PayPal, eBay, on-line companies, any on-line forums or groups you belong to.

Do NOT change passwords or do any transactions while using the infected computer because the attacker will get the new passwords and transaction information.

Download BankerFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double click Bankerfix.exe to run the program
  • Click Yes to install BankerFix
  • Click OK to allow the download of required files
  • When it has downloaded its files click OK to run BankerFix

A Command Window will now open, and ask you to press any key to continue. Hit Enter and the program will start to search for and remove infected files. On completion a message will be shown in the Command Window telling you whether infected files were found and removed.

Now please navigate to your root directory, usually C: and locate the newly created folder named LinhaDefensiva. Open this folder and locate the file named relatorio.txt. Open this file by double clicking it, then copy the entire contents into your next reply.

THEN

To ensure that I get all the information this log will need to be attached (instructions at the end) if it is to large to attach then upload to Mediafire and post the sharing link.

Download OTScanit2 to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named OTScanIt on your desktop.
  • Close ALL OTHER PROGRAMS.
  • Open the OTScanit folder and double-click on OTScanit.exe to start the program.
  • Check the box that says Scan All Users
  • Check the Radio button for Rootkit check YES
  • Under Additional Scans check the following:
    • File - Lop Check
    • File - Purity Scan
    • Evnt - EventViewer Errors/Warnings (last 10)
  • Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
  • Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
  • When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
  • Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.

Please attach the log in your next post.

To attach a file, do the following:
  • Click Add Reply
  • Under the reply panel is the Attachments Panel
  • Browse for the attachment file you want to upload, then click the green Upload button
  • Once it has uploaded, click the Manage Current Attachments drop down box
  • Click on to insert the attachment into your post

Logs required : relatorio.txt and OTScanit attached

Hi, thanks for the response. I downloaded bankerfix, as instructed. I double click on the file, then RUN, then YES, but nothing else happens, like it does not show any other window so I can hit OK to allow the download of required files. It does show a Command Window, but just for a few seconds. I went to C: and found the Linha Defensiva folder, but the file Relatorio.txt was not there. So, any other suggestion will be really appreciated. Thanks

Attached File  OTScanIt.Txt ( 173.65K ) Number of downloads: 27

I was able to change ALL my passwords and, so far, no harm was made. Ok, here goes the OTScanit attachment. Also, I had uninstalled some programs and installed new ones in the infected computer until I could arrange a new computer to continue working. I won't do anything else to the infected computer different from your instructions. In this sense, please find below new hijackThis Logfile.

OK you may breathe a sigh of relief your GbPlugin was not compromised

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Please find below Combofix log. I tried to install RECOVERY CONSOLE, as instructed, but it seems it did not work. I am also attaching the log file, in case it works better for you.

Below is a concern that I have, a message that I am receiving from my firewall. Is this normal? When I go to C:\Documents and Settings\Alex, I can’t see cderom.exe, but there is a file named .antileechdir

C:\Documents and Settings\Alex\cderom.exe is trying to connect to x3.wwww.sl [66.165.170.125] using remote port 80 …

No problem I will kill that but it may be part of a legitimate programme - do you use oracle ?

Start OTScanit. Copy/Paste the information in the quotebox below into the pane where it says "Paste fix here" and then click the Run Fix button.

The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup telling you that it is finished. Click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here along with a new Hijackthis log.

I will review the information when it comes back in.

Also let me know of any problems you encountered performing the steps above or any continuing problems you are still having with the computer.

Here goes the actions taken during the fix and Hijack This Logfile. BTW, I don't use Oracle, but I used SAP on that machine before. Also, when I do the online scan, it still show Bancos IPA and Bifrost as high level threat and the computer is lazy. Thanks.

Ok your system is a bit lazy because you have two antivirus programmes running
QUOTE
Anti-Virus programs take up an enormous amount of your computer's resources when they are actively scanning your computer. Having two anti-virus programs running at the same time can cause your computer to run very slow, become unstable and even, in rare cases, crash.

If you choose to install more than one Anti-Virus program on your computer, then only one of them should be active in memory at a time.

There are basically two types of these programs:
On-Access and On-Demand

On-Access Scanners
As the name implies, are scanners that run in the background all the time the PC is turned on and running. The main function of an On-Access scanner is to monitor activity on your machine.

On-Demand Scanners
As the name implies, are scanners that only run when you ask them to.
Such as:
Online Scans and scanners that run on your machine but are not actively scanning your machine

Download Dr.Web CureIt to the desktop:
ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe
  • Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan
  • This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a short scan.
  • Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
  • Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
  • Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
  • Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
  • When the scan has finished, in the menu, click file and choose save report list
  • Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
  • Close Dr.Web Cureit.
