BOOTMGR is compressed. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restartafter doing that it gives you this choice F9 or F10 after that it immediately goes back to BOOTMGR messege. What do we do? Will all material on her hard drive be lost? This mini has no CD drive |

What Operating System? XP ? Vista ?
You'll need to get into Recovery Console. Your machine may or may not have a Recovery Partition that allows a Recovery Console. If not you'll have to Create a Recovery Console CD and use an external CD unit. It is possible that your machine's Owner's Manual describes how to access Recovery Console via USB Memory.... you'll have to check. Even HP describes using Windows installation or Recovery Console "CD", when referring to this machine. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...280&lang=en It is possible that you could lose your data and even need to reinstall the Operating System. If the data is important and not already backed up to external media, then you can remove the HD, purchase an adapter to connect it as an internal or external drive to a DeskTop computer, and then copy/paste your valued documents. This is a tough one. Let us know if your Owner Manual describes how you can use USB Memory to create Recovery Console. Best Regards |
