Listphile says that it has been created using Ruby on Rails. Is there any simple, and preferably 'ordinary,' software that one could use to create one's own web-page that would achieve the same result, for example Excel ? |

Hi Paieye. I'm sure that the site you mention has a database backend. That allows users to add/remove content dynamically. Excel doesn't create websites nor can you create programs with it. The ordinary way to create a website to do what you want it to do is going to have a programming language behind it no matter how you try to tackle it.
You could use any number of languages to program this type of application, but PHP or ASP would probably be the most common. Visual Web Developer Express can be downloaded for free from Microsoft. |
